2. Matakaw Na Bata (Foodie on the go), http://matakawnabata.com/ – Her story of exploring her food aside from her tight schedule at work. The blog’s author says she’s a ‘foodie on the go’, which is pretty much of a reflection of how she randomly features her sudden food adventures amid her busy digital workload.

4. The Dailypedia.com, http://www.thedailypedia.com – It’s like an online magazine that has a purpose of connecting you to the world.

 8. RAKET HUB http://www.rakethub.com (Sherlane Fortunado)

A blog where you can hop on to find valuable ‘entrepreneurial and online work tips and tricks’. The blog owner Sherlane, is herself, a ‘Virtual Staff’ so she knows well what she is talking about.

9. http://technorush.com/This is filled with scrumptious information.

10. Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW): The Game of Life, http://ofw-the-game-of-life.blogspot.com/ – It connects Filipinos by sharing the experience as an OFW.

Faced with overwhelming opposition to a Charter Change to allow President Aquino to extend his term beyond 2016, Malacañang has backtracked and assured the public that he is not supporting changes in the Constitution in the last two years of his presidency.

Press Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr and Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Abigail Valte can resort to all kinds of spins but it is on  that Aquino said he was open to charter change to clip the powers of the Supreme Court and to another term. Continue reading “No Term Extension”

Kamuning Bakery

Kamuning in the 1940s had a beautiful scenery, so much so that it moved President Manuel L. Quezon then to build his first residential community in the newly created Quezon City, in this barrio. Thus, Kamuning became the first Barrio Obrero (Worker’s Village), in keeping with Quezon’s original vision for the city to become a paradise for the working man. The earliest residents were government employees who were beneficiaries of the People’s Homesite Corporation.

Alejandro Roces, Sr., who was appointed by Quezon in 1939 to be a member of the first City Council, was a key partner of Quezon in creating the new city and in developing the new communities. Roces happened to be a friend of Miguel Bonifacio, a bakery owner, who with his wife, Jovita, owned a thriving bakery in Manila called Los Baños Bakery (so-called because the couple’s roots were in Laguna). Roces felt that bakeries were essential fixtures in residential communities. Continue reading “Kamuning Bakery”

Dekada at Glorietta 3

I always pass by this place on the way to  Landmark and I always tell myself that one day I’ll explore this place but I am always on the go and never found the time to do so. Dekada is located on the 2nd Level of Glorietta 3 in Ayala Center. Its right before the entrance of Landmark Department Store and easily missable since usually this section has a lot of hurrying flocks of passers-by. I recently learned that Dekada is actually one of Marvin Agustin’s (and his partners’) newest restos, so it joins the likes of John and Yoko and Sumo Sam, and the other successful dining destinations in their line. I wasn’t a fan of Marvin before, but seeing as how he was able to ‘widen his horizon’ by becoming an entrepreneur, I immediately took a liking for him.
