Cooked Chicken Flakes pasta (used a can of PureFoods Sexy Chix or leftover chicken will do) and toasted this morning’s pandesal with a bit of butter and Magnolia Quickmelt cheese. Super easy to cook comfort food for a rainy Sunday!
Watched her since ‘Ang TV’ days and could still recall what a TV Network top executive said to her when she was late for a workshop or was it a taping schedule?
Anyway, top TV exec asked, “Do you really want to be an artista?”
Heart’s reply, “Opo.”
TV Executive: “Then always be on time and be professional.”
I also followed her romance with Jericho Rosales, Daniel Matsunaga and Sen. Chiz Escudero. From a rebel teenager to a fashionista lady to a sophisticated Senator’s wife. Her life is really one for the books and she’s just 30 years old!
Sarap Diva’s taping day with her was such a joy! If you saw it, I can vouch that the her lines at SM Supermarket, Crate & Barrel and Hive Hotel are not scripted. Who would’ve thought that she (now the wife of a Senator) will answer each and every question by Asia’s Songbird and Cooking Diva Regine Velasquez-Alcasid – Yes, even the ‘very very light’ questions (read: not rated SPG). Hmmn, maybe we’ll add it on our webisode on Facebook)
She cooked ‘Creamy Chicken Pesto Pasta’ while discussing things in common with the Cooking Diva. Like having kids before marriage (from their husbands former marriage), the adjustments after marriage, first fight as a couple, managing finances (read: limiting shopping sprees), etc.
I don’t care what bashers say, Heart Evangelista-Escudero is indeed Philippine Showbiz’s Sweetheart!
Good morning! Pizza and donuts – because its Sunday!
Just watched Nicanor Tiongson’s ‘Noli at Fili’ dekada dos mil directed by Soxie Topacio with Kris Bernal as Clarissa. A brilliant take on written Filipino masterpieces! Incredible foresight by its Director executed in gripping scenes by each and every one of its actors. Ingenious set and effects that transports you in the intertwined stories. A must-watch not just for theatre lovers but most especially, for students to be inspired to value dignity and freedom – to be a better Filipino.

Those were the days!
Our favorite nail salon and spa relocated so tried different salons for months.
Saw Make Me Blush after visiting ‘the cutest cafe in Quezon City’ (more about that on a separate blog post) and been meaning to try this nail salon for months now.
It is very near our home which is great because after pampering time, who wants a long travel back home right?
Themed salons have sprouted everywhere and what separates them from the rest depends on quality of service, cleanliness (area, tools, towels, and restroom) and accommodating staff.
Make Me Blush has beautiful pastel colored interiors, very big, comfortable & equally-spaced chairs and foot stools and charming white bird cage lighting fixtures.
They also provide services for ‘kikay’ kids and have these small colorful wooden swivel chairs for them.
Haven’t tried their massage treatments yet so will definitely be back for more!

These were delivered today, so happy! Been using InstaGlow products for more than a year now and it is just pure joy!
Strong perfume and ‘cakey’ skin products (even from a known hypoallergenic brand) triggers my sinusitis and causes skin breakouts but with InstaGlow products, I have no problem – all their products are wonderful!
With their day cream alone, based on experience acts effectively like bb cream/foundation/powder combo. Its very light and does not have that ‘cakey’ feel.
I use the body scrub twice a week, body wash every day and anti-ageing cream every night before I sleep.
First time to try their body spray and its great (keeping it in the fridge so that its refreshingly cool when sprayed).
But don’t just take my word for it, try them!
They also have new products out, ‘Lady’ perfume and Argan oil.
After a long day and missing a treatment (my bad did not set schedule), Adobo flakes from Adobo Connection is the cure! They have a new look and menu including a ‘diablo’ of sorts!
