Coco (2017): Of following your passion, love for family, traditions and death

View this post on Instagram

Just watched 'Coco.' I highly recommend it as a supplementary visual tool to introduce the concept of following your passion, love for family, keeping traditions alive and most of all, death. Before watching I was curious as to why the movie was not released during Halloween. Now I get it, it is not just an All Soul's Day movie, but it is timeless. On a personal note, it deeply tugged my heart. And not ashamed to admit that I shed tears inside the cinema. Its not just because I've lost my sister and quite recently a few more relatives and dear friends' have also lost loved ones, but its the general feeling of how (and if we do) remember dearly departed loved ones. And the thought of how (or do they) will they remember us back? The chosen song 'Recuerdeme' or 'Remember Me' is so beautifully simple and apropos (the movie version, not the local celebrity version). Before watching it with kids, please ask them first about their idea of death so that if ever they ask you during or after the movie, you will be ready with (hopefully) a good answer. If you lost a loved one recently or still hurt after years from the loss of a loved one, then this movie is for you. In its way it will help you, it will speak to you…to the depths of your soul. 💔❤️💞 #coco #cocomovie #urmajestysiresmoviereviews #urmajestysiresfavorites #disneypixar #rememberme #recuerdeme

Justice League (2017): An amazing ride from beginning to end!

Finally saw Justice League! Waiting for the next week to watch is better for me than watching with a cinema full of ‘critics’ and noisy (kids) moviegoers. Plus you can watch the entirety of the credits w/o the lights on yet 😉. I bet you all know how that goes right? 😁😝😝😝

Gee, this movie is so worth it! Glad I watched it in 2D and probably watch again. No spoilers here though…respect! 👊🏼 IMHO its such an amazing ride from beginning to end! And don’t leave until ALL the credits have rolled!

#latepost My Lemon Butter Garlic Chicken version (swipe to the left for procedure photos & videos) Ingredients: chicken breasts, filleted lemon, juiced garlic, sliced spring onions, minced salt & pepper butter Procedure: – in a bowl, season chicken with salt & pepper and add lemon juice; marinate chicken for at least 30minutes – heat pan in medium and add butter – sauté garlic until golden brown and set aside; quickly add in spring onions (10seconds) and set aside – add in chicken fillets and cook 5-7minutes each side or no longer pink in the center – serve topped the garlic & spring onions 👍🏼Tips: – If you want to make a sauce: you can add cornstarch w/ the lemon juice marinade & butter left in the pan, season w/ salt & pepper and cook for 3-5minutes – sautéing the garlic and spring onions in the butter releases flavor and setting it aside as toppings so as not to overcook and retain its flavor – you can also add a bit of olive oil do that the butter will not burn quickly #lemonbuttergarlicchicken #urmajestysiresfoodadventures #urmajestysiresfoodexperiments #urmajestysirestips . . . #food #foodporn #foodie #foodblog #foodblogger #lifestyleblog #lifestyleblogger #chickenrecipes #lemonbuttergarlic #healthyeats #healthyeating #healthychoices
