Been meaning to try more than just their pizza and people were raving about it, so had S&R’s Southern Fried Chicken for dinner.

Its not that bad, but its really not that good either IMHO (In My Honest Opinion).

Yes, I still prefer a famous bee’s joy of a chicken and Kentucky’s finger lickin’ with secret herbs and spices.

I like their rice though, you can tell its grade A quality.

Next time will try their calzone!

URMAJESTYSIRE’S FOOD TRIPS: Crispy Chicken Skin, a deadly delicious Filipino Street-food

Crispy Chicken Skin is peddled in the market near our home at around late afternoon to dinner time. It easily sells and runs out of stock because its not just street food for Filipinos per se, it can also be ‘ulam’ or part of a rice meal.

Like in our case, if we don’t have time to to cook we buy two small brown bags (around 50 grams each), whip up some crab & corn soup and take it with rice! We usually consume just a bag so we set aside the rest and make ‘papak’ or munch for midnight snack.

I know, its not healthy because its, fried, full of cholesterol  yada yada, but then again, a little deadly delicious makes my tummy happy!

CHICKEN AND MEATBALLS STEW
INGREDIENTS:
250 grams Chicken Breast Fillet
150 grams Meatballs
1pc. carrot, diced
1 stalk celery, diced
1 cup tomato, diced
2 pcs. potato, diced
100 grams spinach, lightly chopped
1/2 cup shitake mushroom, sliced
250 grams pasta shells, boiled
2.5 liters chicken broth/stock
50 grams basil
parmesan cheese, shaved/grated
olive oil
parsley

For the MEATBALLS (can be made ahead):
500 grams ground lean beef
1pc. onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, diced
1/2 cup shitake mushroom, sliced
thyme
oregano
salt
pepper
