Burrrap_Burrito Masarap: More than just burritos and definitely masarap!

Was supposed to visit the opening of Burrrap_Burrito Masarap at Love Craft Food Park during the latter’s slated opening but it being a December, schedule and traffic was really crazy! Anyways, visited a couple of weeks ago after errands with my cousin. We traversed E. Rodriguez looking for the food park (don’t just rely on the maps online) and almost missed the place (its the building beside the BLTB bus terminal). Here’s what we tried!

Chicken Inasal Quesadilla – it might look like your regular quesadilla but this version first off, the tortilla is not burnt but warmed just right; second the ingredients do not overpower each other; and third, their sauces taste fresh and also flavorful. This one goes to my comfort food list, being its great for those lazy to cook days, rainy days, movie marathon days or simply I’m craving for Mexican food days!

Echos Nachos – straight up their version is one of my favorites (walang echos ‘yan!). For me what sets it apart is that their tortilla chips are very light and crunchy to the bite, its not yellow like most tortilla chips and some are curled in a way you can scoop the ingredients in for a full bite. Couple that with the generous medley of cheese, olives, tomatoes (sans onions, we opted it out) and ground beef …heaven! Oh, their serving is good for 3-4 persons also! RYAN’S KITCHEN: Authentic smoked products and more

RYAN’S KITCHEN at Eastwood Weekend Spice Souk | ww.urmajestysire.wordpress.com | All rights reserved

Meat-smoking is all the rage again! Though mankind has been doing this since prehistory to preserve meats and fish. They found out that the smoke absorbed by the meats and fish not only preserves it, it also keeps away the flies!

Would love to experience having a meat-smoker (and my sister will thank me for it), but the next best thing to experience this is to find authentic smoked products – to cook and eat instead that is.

Went to Eastwood’s Weekend Spice Souk three weeks ago and chanced upon RYAN’S KITCHEN. What caught my eye wasreal wood hickory smoked’Β on their signage. Was in a bit of a hurry so made a mental note when returning the next weekend.

Had a bag of their Nacho chips with salsa and cheese dip and noticed it was better than the usual. The chips remained crunchy and their salsa and cheese dips are so good (they have to bottle it). Blogged about it, researched and found out that they have a store in Greenhills which offers more than just nachos and AHA! its also the same store which carries the smoked-meats!

Long story short, met Ms. Camille Lontok of Ryan’s Kitchen and yes, she personally does almost everything with their smoked products! Every customer is assured that each product is made without chemicals or other preservatives, properly handled and freshly vacuum-sealed.

Anyway, here’s my experience with some of their products (there’s still some in the fridge and will be in a separate blog post). Plus the list and descriptions of their products after the skip. I highly recommend their products, try it!

RYAN’S KITCHEN: Authentic hickory smoked meats, nachos and more

RYAN’S KITCHEN offers smoked products (bacon, porkloin, hungarian sausage and chicken).

They developed a new line for smoked treats because they are believers of natural, healthy and delicious food and they go the extraΒ mile to concoct and develop good products.

Among the very few in the Philippines who’s into authentic smoking, they useΒ hickory wood from America and only prime natural ingredients – no nitrites, sulfites, sodium erythorbate or other preservatives.
