Don’t miss to watch the restored 1977 first-ever full length Hiligaynon film entitled “Ginauhaw Ako, Ginagutom Ako” (I am Thirsty, I am Hungry) directed by Quirino “Quin” Baterna and Leonardo Q. Belen at Cinematheque Centre Manila on July 6 at 1pm.

The Baterna family discovered the surviving reel under a staircase but it was in a bad state. The NFAP (National Film Archives of the Philippines) could not restore it so they sent it to France’s National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image. The restoration was conducted by the CNC (National Centre for Cinematography) laboratories.
